Mother’s Day

We spent Mother’s Day in the NICU—one of many holidays spent in the hospital.

I remember the nurses surprising us by dressing our daughter in a tiny, handmade crochet dress. It was such a simple gesture, but it brought so much joy on a day filled with so many layers.

To the mama who walked through the NICU doors this Sunday—whether for the first time after delivery or for the hundredth time after months at your baby’s bedside—we see you.

We pray you feel the Lord so near—in the middle of what is, and in the ache of what is not. In all the expectations and plans that fell away after delivery.

NICU mama, we hope you feel celebrated—for the strength you’ve shown and the hard, sacred doors you’ve walked through with your precious babe.

We are praying for you.
