The Lord is Our Strength

Psalm 1 talks about the blessing of those who delight in God’s word & meditate on it day and night.

It says, “He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither.”

Think about how a tree planted by water is so close to the water source, that even in a drought, the tree can stand firm. When our hearts are planted close to the Lord, what a gift it is to know that our ‘leaf does not wither’ no matter the season.

We can feel weak on our own, but the faithful stream of water fueling our roots is our strength! Thank you, Lord, for that promise.
